HIS is currently accepting gently used furniture donations from the Manhattan, KS community and surrounding areas. All furniture donations are given to international students attending Kansas State University, and their family members residing here.
The following items are not currently being accepted by HIS: hide-a-bed sofas, appliances, TVs, or furniture that is broken, damaged, or missing pieces. Our furniture ministry aims to give out furniture necessities (beds, desks, tables) and is not able to receive donations of clothing, decor, small household items, etc. at this time.
HIS Volunteers are available to pick up furniture donations from your home, if necessary. Furniture pick-ups are scheduled by HIS staff and volunteers for Saturday mornings on a weekly or bi- monthly basis, depending on the season and volunteer availability. If you are able to haul your furniture donation, that’s great! A HIS staff member or volunteer can arrange to meet you at our storage location to receive your donation
